Escort Security Services, the leading provider of comprehensive security solutions in Ghana, teamed up with the Rotary Club of Accra-Dzorwulu to support the “Save the Island Kidz” project.
On May 27, 2024, representatives from Escort Security Services and the Club gathered at the Pediatorkorpe District Assembly D/A Basic School in Ada to donate 200 life jackets to the island’s five basic schools. Each school received 40 life jackets, addressing the critical issue of children crossing the Volta River daily to attend classes.
The “Save the Island Kidz” project emerged from the urgent need to reduce the high death rate among children who must navigate the Volta River to access education. By supplying life jackets, the initiative aims to ensure their safety during this dangerous journey, thereby fostering a safer learning environment.
At Escort Security Services, our commitment extends beyond providing top-notch security solutions. We are dedicated to making a positive impact on the communities we serve and this partnership perfectly aligns with our corporate social responsibility values.
Faustina Blewusi, the District Director of the National Commission of Civic Education in Ada East, expressed her gratitude for the joint effort. She urged educators and parents to teach children the importance of using life jackets, highlighting that this simple action can significantly save lives.
Ferguson Akey, the GES Director of Education at Ada East, also expressed his appreciation for the gesture, noting that the provision of life jackets would be used judiciously.
Through this collaborative effort, Escort Security Services has taken a crucial step towards addressing a pressing issue faced by the community. The “Save the Island Kidz” project stands as a testament to the power of partnerships and a shared commitment to creating a safer and more secure environment for children.
The presentation was in commemoration of Escort Security Service’s 10th anniversary.
